Built on the Tryton , project, Speco inherits a technical structure designed to be collaboratively built.
With a Docker , structure, the system is designed to be hosted on your own digital infrastructure, and can be easily replicated.
Designed to be applicable to different PGSs, Speco has a modular architecture and a collaborative development philosophy.

We believe in free agroecological technologies, and we believe in building together as the way forward. We believe in free, sovereign and collaborative systems whose purpose for existing is to make the daily life of farming people easier.
Speco was born through many hands, with time and respect for the process. Its construction has been – and continues, and will continue to be – handcrafted: unhurried and non-standardized, always prioritizing the human element.
We learned, through the practice of Participatory Guarantee Systems and through agroecology, that context, territory and, above all, interpersonal relationships are the foundation of any endeavor, one that becomes far richer the more shared and diverse it is.
This is not a finished, immutable system. Speco is a living system, designed to adapt to the changes and contexts in which it is used.
We see Speco as a common good, one that could only be built because others also share this philosophy and built free tools. We ask permission from, and give thanks to, those who came before us, the masters of free code.
We invite everyone — programmers, farmers or the simply curious — to study, use, copy, share, appropriate and modify Speco. Because we believe it is in collectivity, with sovereignty and freedom, that we must move forward.
